The Student Ambassadors from Salon Success Academies volunteered to do the hair and makeup for the “Beauty & The Beast” production at Montclair High School in March. The students were coached by Mr. Nick Alaniz, the Esthetics Program Director at the Upland Campus, who has years of experience doing makeup for television.
The day of the show, the Student Ambassadors showed up hours before show time to start styling and they stayed backstage during the entire performance doing hair and makeup retouches. The Student Ambassadors went above and beyond just styling the performers and established themselves as part of the production crew, helping calm the performers’ nerves and even changing the scenery.
